The Associate Director - Business Development for Modon Holdings will be responsible for supporting the execution of commercial strategies and fostering partnerships to advance Modon's smart urban and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on identifying business growth opportunities, assisting with commercial analysis, and supporting relationship-building efforts across key stakeholders, in line with Modon's mission and Modon's strategic objectives.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties
- Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Assist in defining commercial strategies and contribute to the development of the strategic roadmap for Modon's projects.
- Support the research and evaluation of potential growth opportunities across smart mobility, urban tech, infrastructure, and sustainable community sectors.
- Provide data and analysis to support alignment of business development initiatives with Emirate-wide strategies such as Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
- Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with government partners, developers, infrastructure solution providers, and technology firms.
- Support negotiation and documentation processes with potential partners, ensuring alignment with Modon's objectives.
- Represent Modon in selected forums and industry events as directed by the Executive Director.
- Project Development
- Lead feasibility studies, risk reviews, and financial assessments for new business ventures and projects.
- Lead/Support BD Managers in the development and documentation of commercial frameworks, including PPPs, M&A and innovation-driven ventures.
- Support the Executive Director in coordinating the internal process to evaluate and approve new projects, including Management and Investment Committees.
- Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Coordinate and drive planning, development, finance, legal, and technical teams to facilitate the implementation of approved projects.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of business development pipeline, growth metrics, and market trends to senior management.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience and Competencies:
Experience
- 12+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior business development capacity within infrastructure or PPP projects (non-negotiable).
- Demonstrated experience supporting deal structuring and partnership development is advantageous.
- Experience in the aviation/airports industry and M&A (highly preferred).
Competencies:
- Knowledge of PPP development and public sector partnership principles. (Non-negotiable)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively at a senior-management level.
