Job description

Reporting to:Senior Project Manager / Construction Director

Al Zorah Development Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of high-end, large-scale development projects from construction through to final handover. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with strong technical, contractual, and coordination expertise, particularly within premium developments in the UAE.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Project & Construction Management: Support project delivery, coordinate civil, architectural, finishing, interior, and MEP works, monitor execution, track progress, and assist with recovery measures.
  • Contractual & Commercial Management: Apply knowledge of FIDIC and UAE contracts, review contracts/claims/EOTs, support cost control and value engineering, and safeguard commercial interests.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead and attend meetings with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams; resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Finishing, Materials & Approvals: Manage material submissions, mock-ups, shop drawings, and approvals to maintain premium quality and avoid delays.
  • Authority & Compliance: Ensure adherence to UAE regulations, coordinate inspections, permits, and completion certificates, liaise with authorities like Ajman Municipality, Civil Defence, FEWA, Etihad Water & Electricity, etc.
  • Safety, Quality & Handover: Enforce HSE regulations, maintain quality control, and support snagging, commissioning, and final handover.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • Developer organisation experience is an advantage
  • Strong leadership, professional judgment, and communication skills
  • Negotiation, coordination, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Professional, well-presented, and confident
