Job summary

Responsible for managing documentation processes, setting standards for document control, and ensuring the completeness and correctness of all documents across projects. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Excellent organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Job description

Our client, one of the largest developers in the Middle East and North Africa region based in Abu Dhabi is currently looking for an Assistant Manager, Document Control who will manage the documentation of all documents through maintaining the electronic and hard copy archiving of documents. Reporting to the Administration Head and you will be responsible to:

  • Set document control standards for ease of storage, retrieval and standardization efficiency across the company
  • Ensure the completeness and correctness of all documents pertaining to Committees decisions, all divisions, projects, support services and finance.
  • Ensure documentation is incorporated into master database/library.
  • Ensure distribution of documents to concerned parties when necessary.
  • Manage the review of documents received for archiving and decide on key search string references to be specified in order to maintain data standardization.
  • Oversee the upload and archiving of relevant documents attained through written correspondence and requests.
  • Manage the follow up and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure the completeness of the archived dossiers.
  • Ensure the adequacy of the IMS IT systems and their fit with company’s ERP platforms.
  • Deploy and manage Document Controllers to various project sites and departments and provide technical guidance on set standards and procedures.
Business capabilities
  • 8 – 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a Document Control role in a managerial function
