Candidates should have extensive experience in procurement and strong analytical skills. This position requires UAE residency with a Family Book.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in procurement management, preferably in Ocean categories.
• Strong understanding of contract compliance and performance management.
• UAE-based with Family Book mandatory.

Job description

Responsible for managing Tier 2 & 3 suppliers within Ocean Categories, focusing on contract implementation in collaboration with other functions, ensuring compliance with global guidelines and policies. Drive contract value realization and support regional standardization across Ocean procurement categories.

Responsibilities

• Regional Procurement: Manage Tier 2 & 3 Ocean categories portfolio.
• Contract Communication: Conduct contract handovers, clarify roles & responsibilities, and set timelines for ESG improvement actions. Oversee contract renewals and updates.
• Operationalize Contracts: Translate contracts into business formats for SLA execution, payment terms, and master data. Serve as first escalation point for payment queries.
• Contract Compliance & Performance: Ensure compliance across procurement categories to support sustainability and risk management. Negotiate and govern SLAs with Terminals, collaborating with sourcing and operations teams.
• Contract Value Maximization: Capitalize on rebates, commitments, and identify risks and opportunities with relevant functions.
• Strategy Development: Partner with sourcing managers to develop strategies for SLA and contract value based on current learnings for renegotiation.

Global Procurement & Collaboration

• Build strong relations with global transformation teams and foster a One Procurement Maersk mindset across Ocean categories.
• Act as escalation point for dispute and issue resolution regionally.
