This role involves ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards, analyzing financial statements, and advising top management on investments. The ideal candidate has a professional accounting qualification and at least 5 years of experience in a senior role, preferably from a major public accounting firm or large corporation. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and investment markets is essential.

Our Boutique Investment Client in Abu Dhabi is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join its growing organisation.

Working under the guidance of the Group CFO and Finance Manager, you will be required:

  • To ensure that a company's internal controls are adequate, appropriate and in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and company policies.
  • To ensure that all financial reports comply with the relevant accounting standards, such as IFRS, IAS, etc., and presented in a strict timely manner.
  • To analyse financial statements and advise top leadership on investments and expense‑saving initiatives.

Professional qualifications and experience:

  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or a CPA).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Senior position in a large Public Accounting Firm, preferably the Big 4, or a large multinational corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting standards, such as IFRS, IAS and/or GAAP.
  • Experience in Financial Reporting for large multinational corporations, including consolidation and combination reporting.
  • Good knowledge in investments and capital markets, both in UAE and Globally.
  • Ideally Arabic Speaking.
