Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems.
  • Strong experience with laboratory analyser integrations.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and ASTM messaging standards.
  • Solid understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic processes.
  • Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, support, train and maintain the HIS and LIS to meet operational and clinical requirements.
  • Manage and support laboratory analyser integrations using HL7, FHIR, and ASTM protocols.
  • Troubleshoot interface, data flow, and system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with users to gather requirements and provide application support and training.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third‑party interface teams for system enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and deployments.
  • Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with healthcare standards and policies.
  • Prepare technical documentation, interface specifications, and user guides.
  • Provide on‑call or extended support as required for critical laboratory operations.

Position Summary

The Application Analyst is responsible to support, configure, and maintain Laboratory Information Systems and Hospital Information system. The resource will have strong hands‑on experience with HIS/LIS platforms, laboratory analyser integrations, and healthcare interoperability standards. This role works closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system functionality and reliable data exchange.

Summary of Main Duties
  • Configure, support, train and maintain the HIS and LIS to meet operational and clinical requirements
  • Manage and support laboratory analyser integrations using HL7, FHIR, and ASTM protocols
  • Troubleshoot interface, data flow, and system performance issues
