Job description
VP, Middle East Alternatives Product Manager (Abu Dhabi)

The Alternatives Product Manager Vice President will be responsible for the development, implementation, enhancement and support of State Street's Alternatives products, services, delivery channels from conceptual stages through research, development, marketing, training, sales programs, financial metrics, and the entire product life cycle in support of the Alternatives products strategic goals and objectives in APAC. This role reports directly into Global Head of Hedge & Alternative Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the Middle Eastern markets, competitive forces and client direction to make related product recommendations that ensure competitive positioning and grow market share, including the opportunity to introduce new adjacent offerings
  • Partner with the business to drive revenue and profitable growth
  • Own product commercials for Alternative products across the region
  • Provide subject matter expertise – strong background in the alternatives space and have a solid understanding of the end to end strategic operating model and technology stack. Ability to develop solutions that can be deployed for complex clients.
  • Drive solutions – support and partner with teams across our global organization to define and solution critical deals and to ensure that the relevant subject matter experts are consulted and that critical design assumptions and strategic options are thoroughly explored.
  • Represent State Street at industry events, participate in client meetings and provide thought leadership
  • Research & Market Analysis – keeping up to date with key competitor intelligence and emerging industry trends
  • Drive business development and support sales commercialization activities
  • Collaborate on commercial topics with key stakeholder and business partners across functions including legal, risk and compliance.

  • Experienced talent with deep subject matter expertise in the Alternatives space
  • Proven track record of working with large complex clients and establishing strong partnerships at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of technology, market infrastructures and industry partners in Alternatives
  • Excellent client skills and the ability to engage at all levels
  • Strong understanding of operational processes across all aspects in Alternatives
  • Active participation in industry groups across the region, showcase State Street's thought leadership, drive and execute appropriate advocacy activities
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and mentor staff
  • Proven ability to execute on product deliverables and strategic vision
Experience
  • Seasoned professional with 15+ years' experience in Financial Services
  • Worked in Product organisations in prior roles
  • Prior experience working in the Alternatives space
  • Consultative experience working with large complex institutional investors
  • Strong team player who can thrive in a large complex global organization
