Job description

Job Summary

• Over 8 years of experience required, with primary expertise in IBM P series 9 / 10 administration.
• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining AIX systems (versions 7.1, 7.2, 7.3), including hardware such as IBM Power E1050 and P950.
• Install and configure VIOs (Virtual I / O Servers) and HMC (Hardware Management Console).
• Manage installation, configuration, and migration of LPARs (Logical Partitions).
• Prepare Low-Level Designs (LLDs) of LPAR profiles.
• Possess knowledge of GPFS (General Parallel File System) cluster management.
• Experience working in NIM (Network Installation Manager) environments, including handling mksysb backups and system imaging.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth integration with other systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AIX systems, including configuration files and technical notes.
• Stay updated on the latest AIX technologies and best practices.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of AIX OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl) for AIX.
• Familiarity with AIX system management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
