We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and project cost control across multiple business units. This position suits a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a structured, technical environment.
Tasks
General Accounting
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for multiple companies.
- Enter all financial transactions into 1C / FirstBIT ERP.
- Prepare monthly Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet for each entity.
- Ensure proper chart of accounts, cost centers, and project coding.
- Verify documentation prior to posting (POs, Delivery Notes, Invoices, Approvals).
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices and match with POs and Delivery Notes.
- Maintain supplier ledgers for each company.
- Prepare weekly payment schedules.
- Manage retentions, advance payments, and subcontractor certificates.
- Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare sales invoices, including milestone/progressive billing.
- Maintain customer ledgers and ensure timely collections.
- Track due payments and follow up with clients.
- Reconcile receipts with project cash‑flow plans.
Project Costing & Job Cost Control
- Register all project‑related expenses in 1C / FirstBIT by cost center.
- Track materials, labor, and subcontractor costs for LGS buildings, hot‑rolled steel items, modular buildings, and food truck production.
- Support monthly preparation of job‑costing reports vs budget.
- Highlight variances and risks to management.
Cash Flow Management
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts.
- Track liabilities, upcoming payments, and receivables.
- Coordinate with the Managing Director regarding payment prioritization.
VAT & Corporate Tax (UAE)
- Prepare VAT returns for all companies via the FTA portal.
- Ensure proper supporting documents for input and output VAT.
- Maintain monthly VAT reconciliation.
- Support Corporate Tax calculations (9%), including taxable income and adjustments.
Payroll & HR Accounting
- Maintain employee records and payroll data.
- Process monthly WPS files.
- Track leave balances and EOSB provisions.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Track material stock for construction and food truck production.
- Maintain GRNs, material movement, and store requisitions.
- Update asset register and depreciation schedules.
Banking & Reconciliation
- Perform daily bank reconciliations for all company accounts.
- Prepare cheques, online transfers, and bank payment forms.
- Track post‑dated cheques and due dates.
Reporting & Management Support
- Submit weekly financial summaries (cash position, payables due, receivables aging) to management.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and financial discipline.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE (construction/manufacturing is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (1C / FirstBIT preferred).
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and analytical.
- Excellent Excel skills and strong follow‑up discipline.
- High sense of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
