Job description

As an Accountant - Client Accounting Services at Alkazim, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant accounting and bookkeeping services to multiple clients. The role involves hands-on accounting, VAT compliance and financial reporting across a diverse client base. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to accounting and regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience handling multiple client engagements, either ACCA qualified or actively pursuing ACCA.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, including journals, ledgers and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
  • Perform bank, customer, supplier and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare and support the filing of VAT returns in line with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Assist with corporate tax data preparation and compliance support as required.
  • Support client onboarding by understanding accounting requirements and setting up accounting structures.
  • Liaise directly with clients to obtain information, clarify transactions and resolve accounting queries.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies or issues and escalate them appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal processes and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
  • ACCA qualified or actively pursuing ACCA.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in an accounting firm or outsourced services environment.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho, Xero, Sage or equivalent platforms.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Professional communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
