Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in accounting, specifically in Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI for financial dashboards and analytics.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Oversee customer accounts to ensure timely invoicing and collection of outstanding payments.
- Review, post, and maintain invoices, receipts, and journal entries with high accuracy.
- Perform regular reconciliation of AR ledgers to ensure completeness and correctness.
- Prepare AR aging reports and actively follow up on overdue balances.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to support smooth collections and strong working relationships.
Fixed Assets Accounting
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation accurately and on time.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets.
- Support capitalization and project accounting related to manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and IFRS requirements governing fixed asset management.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial and management reports using Advanced Excel and Power BI.
- Provide insights on accounts receivable trends, cash flow forecasting, and asset utilization.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
