Job Responsibilities
- Match internal records with customer statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Verify payments, credits, and debits, ensuring accurate application to accounts.
- Resolve account issues, explain balances, and assist with customer inquiries.
- Prepare reconciliation reports for management and track account activities.
- Collaborate with sales, billing, and credit teams to verify transactions and manage accounts.
- Assist with month-end processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile customer accounts by comparing internal records with customer statements.
- Identify discrepancies between company records and customer balances.
- Resolve discrepancies through communication with customers.
- Ensure all discounts, adjustments, or write-offs are correctly processed and reflected.
- Record and reflect customer transactions such as returns, allowances, or rebates in account balances.
- Analyze transactions to determine VAT liability and apply correct VAT rates.
- Oversee the preparation of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, tracking revenue and comparing against targets.
- Provide insights into sales trends, customer segments, and product performance.
- Identify opportunities to maximize sales revenue and reduce costs.
- Monitor sales performance against forecasts and budgets, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist sales teams in understanding financial targets and aligning efforts with business goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is mandatory.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as MSD, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
