Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounting records, oversee invoicing, and prepare management reports. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of relevant experience in the DMCC region. Proficiency in accounting software and fluency in English are essential. This position allows for flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Candidates with more experience may qualify as Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounting records for UAE subsidiaries.

• Prepare management accounts and related reports for headquarters.

Job description

The Role

• Responsible for handling full set of accounting records and performing daily operation of UAE subsidiaries
• Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring timely issuance and follow-up on payments.
• Manage revenue billing, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection.
• Prepare management accounts, weekly and / or monthly reports, and related breakdown analysis, and report to the headquarters in Hong Kong.
• Responsible for filing corporate income tax, profit tax and VAT tax to DMCC Authority.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist in annual audit.
• Manage banking issues and banking administrative works in DMCC, liaise with bank RM.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities if necessary.
• Having knowledge on international trading is an advantage but not essential.
• Having knowledge & solid experience in company secretarial matters is an advantage but not essential.
• Report to accounting teams of headquarters in Hong Kong timely.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting softwares (SUN Accounting and Kingdee) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and willing to work at home at early stage (We are willing to provide essential computer equipment and necessary stationery).
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Fluent in speaking and writing in English.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within Dubai or the DMCC region.
• Candidate who has more working experience would be considered as Senior Accountant.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Recognized professional accounting qualification (CPA) is a plus. Preference of male / female and nationality, if any
• We prefer the candidate is Dubai local resident, or he / she has got working VISA in Dubai and needs to do pension contribution.
