Job summary

A marine operations company is seeking someone to assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations. You will supervise maintenance of main engine auxiliaries, ensure safety protocols, maintain records, monitor machinery performance and comply with international safety regulations. The role involves direct oversight of engine workshops and supporting inspections and repairs. This position offers an opportunity to work in a critical safety-managed environment in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations.
• Supervise maintenance of main engine auxiliaries pumps and generators.
• Ensure proper watchkeeping and engine room safety.
• Maintain PMS records engine logbooks and checklists.
• Monitor fuel lube oil and machinery performance.
• Supervise engine ratings and workshops.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and Company SMS.
• Support inspections, repairs and emergency drills.
