Job summary
An educational institution is seeking a part-time lecturer for Management Accounting 2 in Durban North. Responsibilities include conducting lectures, providing student support, and developing module materials. The ideal candidate should possess a Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent, with relevant lecturing experience in financial accounting or management accounting. This role is suited for someone available for 2-3 days a week during business hours. Flexibility in working conditions is offered.
Qualifications
- Must have lecturing experience in relevant accounting fields.
- Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
- Must have a minimum of an NQF level 9 qualification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials, and workshops.
- Provide study guidance and consultation for students.
- Develop module materials including online resources.

Emeris Durban North has a vacancy for a part‑time lecturer for the following module:
Management Accounting 2
- Preparation, conducting of lectures, tutorials and workshops
- Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation and mentoring of students
- Initiation and development of module materials, including online and web‑based materials
- Marking and grading of student assessments
- A range of administrative functions connected to the discipline and modules being taught
Ideal:
- Chartered Accountant
- Chartered Global Management Accounting
- Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA)
- Honours/post‑graduate qualification in Management Accounting and Finance
Alternatively:
- NQF level 9 qualification in Management Accounting and Finance
- Lecturing experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing or Taxation preferable
- Completed training contract at a registered firm of Chartered Accountants
- Relevant work experience in a corporate environment
- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
- Positions are part‑time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00
- Must reside in Durban (All classes take place on Campus)
