Job summary

A leading trucking company in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to handle diagnostics and repairs for a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a Red seal, strong experience in truck maintenance, and expertise in air brakes and petrol engines. Responsibilities include routine inspections, fixing electrical components, and performing equipment repairs. This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar position and a solid understanding of the automotive trucking industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in same or similar role as Truck Mechanic / Service Advisor.
• Experience in the Commercial Motor Industry environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing problems.
• Performing routine maintenance like checking oil, air brakes, and lubrication.
• Fixing damaged electrical components and parts.
• Repairing or replacing worn parts like brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
• Taking steps to prevent new problems from developing.
