Business Development Reverse Engineer – Smart4Energy

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng • Full‑time • Mid‑Senior level

Responsibilities
  • Drive reverse engineering projects and expand market reach.
  • Establish and maintain a global support network for measurement, scanning, 3D modeling, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of reverse‑engineered pumps and components.
  • Investigate and introduce new software and hardware technologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best practices for scanning, production, and supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with product management, procurement, planning, and field service to ensure timely project execution.
  • Promote reverse engineering through customer visits, marketing material creation, and internal & external training.
  • Conduct cost analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability tracking for reverse engineering jobs.
  • Attend global meetings to align with reverse engineering strategies.
Qualifications
  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, preferably with pumps.
  • Strong background in design, manufacturing, and problem solving in site/system applications.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling, FEA, and CFD.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • ECSA registration or eligibility for registration.
