Virtual Medical Receptionist Jobs

Preferred candidate resides in Arizona due to a one week mandatory onsite training in Prescott, AZ. This is a fully remote position after the training period.

The Medical Receptionist is the first point of service for our patients coming into the practice and is responsible for greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments. They verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect co‑payments, obtain routine financial information from various sources to arrange payment plans and Medicare coverage, answer the phone, and serve as a primary source of information to patients in the waiting area.

• Performs various clerical duties to include: maintain departmental deposit logs, prepare routine schedules and reports, utilize analytical skills necessary to maintain provider schedules.
• Ensures a positive customer‑service atmosphere and interactions in reception areas.
• Oversees waiting area.
• Answers the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Coordinates patient movement, reports problems or irregularities.
• Complies with all HIPAA requirements regarding patient confidentiality and patient medical records.
• Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the physician staff.

• High School Graduate, General Studies and basic computer skills.
• Experience with Outlook, Windows‑based and Google Suites programs.

• Previous medical office and/or insurance experience.
