Job summary
A hospitality group in Dexter, New Mexico seeks a Food and Beverage Manager to supervise and train restaurant staff, ensure compliance with food and liquor laws, and maintain operational standards. Candidates must have a high work ethic and be team-oriented, with a flexible schedule to work nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- Responsible for supervising and training restaurant and kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of food and liquor regulations is essential.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train all F&B personnel.
- Directly schedule and evaluate staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and operational standards.
Skills
- Efficiently supervise, guide and train all restaurant, kitchen, banquet and bar associates in how to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities.
- Schedule, evaluate and direct all F&B personnel, including providing disciplinary action if necessary.
- Keep open communication between management and associates.
- Ensure appropriate inventory of supplies and materials needed for associates to perform their jobs.
- Establish, direct and review liquor procedures to ensure adequate security and accountability.
- Participate in department meetings, weekly staff meetings, weekly restaurant, and monthly food and supplies inventory.
- Maintain constant control of sanitation levels and operating standards for the restaurant.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations as it relates to food and liquor, ensuring restaurant staff have all been trained in responsible alcohol service.
- High work ethic and self-initiative
- Will be required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays
