The Landline Company, a startup-like carrier bridging regional hubs with major airline partners, seeks a Fleet Manager to lead maintenance for a growing motorcoach fleet. You will own the maintenance plan, budget, and vendor relationships, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely service.

This remote role requires strong analytics, experience in transportation or fleet ops, and the ability to coordinate across multiple locations and time zones.

Qualifikationen

• 5-10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet operations, or related consulting.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI a plus.
• Familiarity with Fleetio and/or Samsara.
• Comfort using AI tools to move quickly across diverse projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with frontline hourly staff.
• Comfort working remotely while collaborating across multiple locations and time zones.

Aufgaben

• Own the maintenance function with plan, vendors and data for a scalable fleet.
• Build rolling maintenance forecast aligned to OEM intervals and usage patterns.
• Maintain the maintenance budget with Finance and report variances.
• Coordinate unscheduled and corrective maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Keep accurate service records in Fleetio and Samsara; track DVIR and outages.
• Manage parts and consumables procurement and validate pass-through costs from partners.
• Flag recurring issues or end-of-life vehicles using maintenance data.
• Serve as Landline's representative for all work at external maintenance facilities and issue work orders.
• Schedule all planned and unplanned work and ensure buses are positioned on time.
• Review and approve partner invoices, flag discrepancies, and track technician usage.
• Plan quarterly reviews with key maintenance vendors.
• Provide real-time view of fleet readiness to SOC and leadership; communicate constraints proactively.
• Own Fleetio and Samsara as key user and manage access.
• Plan and manage vehicle assignments, identify capacity risks, and plan additions/retirements.
• Maintain vehicle files (registration, insurance, inspections, warranties).
• Coordinate warranty claims with OEM reps and training.
• Track TSBs, service bulletins, recalls; advise on reliability and procurement.
• Provide advance notice of maintenance windows and outages; collaborate on scheduling trade-offs.
• Ensure compliance and audit-ready records; report KPIs (MTBF, out-of-service days, cost per vehicle).
