Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support the coding team using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS. You will perform internal audits, answer billing questions, and help standardize coding practices across the organization.

The role includes onboarding and ongoing staff education, monitoring regulatory changes, and partnering with leadership on short- and long-term planning to maintain compliant, accurate professional billing.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification required.
• Epic experience and Medicare billing knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS for complex billing.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify gaps and trends.
• Lead onboarding and staff education on risk adjustment and MEAT.
• Develop training programs for evolving health plan requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning for compliant coding.
• Communicate regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.
