Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications while supporting the professional fee coding team.

This role involves audits, ongoing education, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations across PB coding groups. You will onboard new staff, develop training programs, and partner with organizational leaders on strategic plans to maintain high standards in accurate coding and regulatory billing

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Five (5) years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing rules and professional fee coding.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor evolving regulatory changes and communicate updates for timely implementation within PB coding teams.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Lead collaboration with leadership on short- and long-term coding strategy.
• Maintain subject-matter expertise for complex billing inquiries and cross-department coordination.
• Drive improvements in coding compliance and workflow efficiency.
