Job summary

CommonSpirit seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You’ll apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and CPT-4, audit for accuracy, and educate teams to ensure compliant billing. You will onboard new staff and craft ongoing training while tracking regulatory changes and implementing improvements.

You’ll partner with leadership to drive strategic planning, expand education programs, and maintain high standards in documentation and coding practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Epic experience with coding workflows and audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Lead strategic planning to maintain excellence in compliant coding and billing.
• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and related guidelines.
• Conduct chart audits to identify gaps and drive improvements.
