Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator Professional Fee to support its professional fee coding teams. You will audit and educate on ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT-4, and related guidelines, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across the organization.

You will onboard new staff, develop ongoing education programs, and monitor regulatory changes, coordinating with leadership on short- and long-term strategic coding initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of coding professional fee records experience.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications required.
• Epic software experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare rules and professional fee coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing education for coding staff on Risk Adjustment and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deliver training programs to keep teams current on health plan requirements.
• Lead standardization efforts across coding teams and departments.
• Communicate regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.
• Manage deadlines and present findings to leadership.
