Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will audit ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS, educate the team, and ensure compliance across the organization.

You will onboard new staff and develop ongoing education, while monitoring regulatory changes and implementing updates. You will also lead training on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, MEAT criteria, and maintain SME-level knowledge to address complex billing inquiries.

Qualifications

• Two years PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC Certification or CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA.
• Epic experience.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data to recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates within PB coding teams.
• Lead onboarding for new hires; educate on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop training to keep coding teams current on health plan requirements and regulatory changes.
• Build strong, diplomatic relationships with coding teams to standardize practices and cross-department communication.
• Utilize organizational and problem-solving skills to manage deadlines and present educational findings.
