Job summary

CommonSpirit seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support the professional coding team. You will use ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications to audit and educate, ensuring compliant coding practices across the organization.

You will onboard new staff and develop ongoing programs, collaborating with leadership on short- and long-term strategic planning to sustain excellence in billing accuracy and regulation compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Audit coding for accuracy and regulatory compliance on professional fees.
• Educate staff and onboard new coding personnel.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates across PB coding teams.
• Develop and deploy ongoing training programs on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Maintain expertise in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and related modifiers.
• Lead cross-departmental communication to standardize coding practices.
