Remote Coding Auditor & Educator – Professional Fees

Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding across the organization. You will audit, educate, and standardize coding practices while addressing regulatory changes.

You will onboard new staff, develop ongoing education programs, and communicate updates to PB coding teams to maintain compliant billing standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Certification in CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA is required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience with Medicare billing rules and NCCI guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in coding.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training for coding staff.
• Stay abreast of regulatory updates and implement changes across teams.
• Develop and deploy educational programs for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan short- and long-term coding strategies.
