Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator Professional Fee to support its professional fee coding team using ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications. The role includes conducting audits, providing essential training, and ensuring compliance across the organization.

You will onboard and educate new staff, monitor regulatory changes, and partner with leadership on strategic coding initiatives to maintain excellence in compliant billing practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC/ CCS/ CCS-P / RHIT / RHIA certification(s).
• Epic experience.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing education for staff on coding standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Lead training programs to keep teams current on payer requirements.
• Build cross-departmental relationships to standardize coding practices.
• Manage deadlines and present findings to drive coding improvements.
