Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of five accounting staff.
Oversee accounting operations and manage monthly and annual closing of accounts.
Produce accurate monthly performance reports.
Ensure timely processing of payments, resolve collection issues, and perform cash flow planning.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Liaise with auditors and tax agents.
Maintain accurate data in systems and ensure robust internal controls.
Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting and auditing standards and the Law Society Practice Direction.
Implement and enforce financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Review and streamline current accounting procedures, aiming for automation where possible.
Oversee accounting operations for Brunei.
Regularly maintain and update the Asset Register.
Manage warehouse file storage contents and records, including regular inventory and destruction.
Update internal accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence.
Calculate business incentives quarterly.
Support projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with preferable 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and auditing practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
