What the Scale Team Does

The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. We combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of our customers' needs to design and build unified, intuitive, and scalable products. • Embedded Finance Platform: Build and maintain the multi-tenant infrastructure powering companies like Brex, Rippling, Navan, Qantas, and SHEIN. You'll architect systems that aggregate requests from all platform customers, meeting enterprise-grade SLAs for availability, latency, and throughput while handling cross-data-center scenarios.

• Cross-Domain Product Features: Own features that require synthesizing knowledge across business, regulatory, and technical domains—areas where no single existing team has full coverage, like tax systems, compliance-driven flows, or monetization tools.

• Solutions Architecture: Design integrations for enterprise prospects by translating their business requirements into technical solutions. Your architectural decisions directly influence deal outcomes—from enabling multi-million dollar contracts to differentiating in competitive sales.

Responsibilities

• Define Airwallex’s products, from strategy and solution design to roadmap and delivery plans

• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams to ensure that our product can handle increased user adoption, usage, and complexity while maintaining its core value proposition.

• Inform product strategy and approach by deeply understanding our user requirements, target markets, and competitive landscape

• Iterate quickly on new product launches, feature enhancements, and user feedback

• Depending on your background and expertise, you could be working in the following domains - Payments, Embedded Finance, Risk or Treasury

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications

• Experience in Product Management, Engineering or Consulting, preferably in a ground-breaking technical environment

• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies

• Familiarity with technical documentation (e.g., APIs, technical specifications).

• Experience considering both user requirements and commercial strategy in order to drive meaningful product growth

• Experience taking products from ideation to delivery, ideally at global scale

• Ability to manage difficult tradeoffs such as long term product vision and short term growth requirements

• Ability to thrive in data driven, cross functional teams that can move ideas to reality in very short periods of time

• Flexibility to work across multiple time zones

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM degree
