Our client, a major provider in industrial services is looking for a Logistics Administrator.
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory levels via regular inventory audits
Track stock movements to prevent shortages or overstocking
Order Processing
Receive and process customer orders and coordinate with suppliers and customers
Shipping and Delivery Coordination
Coordinate shipments, track deliveries, and handle shipment discrepancies
Documentation and Record Keeping
Maintain records for shipments, receipts, and inventory
Ensure completion and storage of import/export documents (e.g. invoices, shipping labels, and customs paperwork)
Prepare reports related to logistics operations, such as delivery schedules, inventory levels, and financials
Supplier and Vendor Management
Communicate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of goods
Resolve any delivery, pricing, or quality issues
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective operations
Transportation Management
Plan transportation routes to ensure cost-efficient delivery
Ensure compliance with transport regulations
Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution
Resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, or damaged goods
Handle customer complaints related to logistics and provide timely solutions
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant laws and regulations
Cost Control and Budgeting
Monitor logistics-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Assist with logistics budgeting and resource allocation
Communication and Collaboration
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, purchasing, warehouse) and various stakeholders (suppliers, customers, carriers, etc.) to ensure smooth logistics operations
Returns Management
Ensure all returned items have a Job Order issued by Sales/ Ops
Verify item conditions (unused, undamaged, completed), report them to Sales/Ops, and follow up on required actions
Job Requirements:
Minimum ‘O’ level qualification
At least 2 years of experience with supply chain
Working knowledge of logistics software (e.g. SAP or WMS), tracking systems, and customs and import/export regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office
