UCT is looking for a talented Sr. Cost Accountant to join us in Singapore!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the key cost accounting work including standard cost updates, variance analysis and month end closing.
• Responsible for accurate processing of month end journals (COGS and inventory related), perform accounts reconciliation, maintain and reconcile inventory ledgers and perform cost variances analysis and PPV
• Support annual standard cost reroll/revaluation exercises and perform cost simulation
• Perform monthly standard cost roll up activity and ad-hoc standard costs update as needed
• Preparing monthly inventory reconciliation, open WO aging report & inventory aging report, commission report and sales reconciliation
• Prepare and publish weekly sales and gross margin analysis, PPV report to business units.
• Conducts cycle count audit and physical verification of all open WO on production floor quarterly
• Support Audit committee and liaise with Internal & External Auditors
• Support ad hoc analysis/project assigned
• Handle ad hoc requests from business partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering and supply chain, to analyze cost data and drive business in cost improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Recognized degree or other equivalent professional accounting qualification
• At least 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting knowledge and analytical skills
• Independent, mature, self-motivated and possess ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Responsible and good communication skill to collaborate across departments.
• Detailed and meticulous and problem solving abilities.
