Job summary
A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Ship Repair Supervisor to lead a repair team and handle maintenance of mechanical equipment on ships. Candidates should have a Diploma in Marine Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include planning repair jobs and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The position offers a salary range of $2,700 - $3,800 with overtime pay.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years relevant working experience in ship repair.
- Able to work on site and in workshop.
- Familiar with permit-to-work systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a repair team to fulfill ship repair jobs.
- Carry out maintenance and service of mechanical equipment.
- Plan and execute repair jobs cost-effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of tools.

Education
Ship Repair Supervisor
- Location: Penjuru lane ( Transport provided at Jurong East)
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Salary: $2,700 - $3,800 , OT pay
- Diploma/Certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years relevant working experience.
- Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet
- Able to work on site, on ship and in workshop
- Familiar with safety regulation, permit-to-work system.
- To lead a repair team to fulfil ship repair jobs afloat or at shipyard
- Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment on board of ship, such as diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc assigned by project manager.
- Troubleshooting all the mechanical equipment on board vessels.
- Planning and executing the repair job in the most cost effective method.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop.
- Attending to vessels Dry-dock as assigned by project manager.
- Carrying out any retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels.
- Training new joined workers
- Follow company’s SOP, keep high safety standard with the team.
- Any other duties as assigned by project manager, HOD or Management
