Job Description We are currently seeking an Oracle Database Consultant. The role involves pre-sales support, implementation, providing first- and second-level support, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical/functional support to sales teams in engagements with prospective clients, including preparing technical proposals.
- Responsible for the build, delivery, and integration of proof-of-concept and pilot projects.
- Manage projects as a leader and communicate effectively with customers and project teams.
- Coordinate and plan with partners and the company to ensure successful transitions from pre-sales to deployment.
- Understand customer requirements, map them to product capabilities, and specify how they meet customer needs.
- Maintain awareness of competitive offerings to justify the technical suitability of company products and services relative to customer requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- More than 12 years of business technology experience, with at least 3 years in development or pre-sales support, or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, including surrounding tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Recovery Manager, Zabbix, NetBackup, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of Oracle Appliance products and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a strong advantage.
- Experience with setting up and tuning OS platforms (Linux, Windows, UNIX).
- Basic knowledge of shell or script coding is required.
- Knowledge of other databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL is an advantage.
- Advanced understanding of networking and storage is required.
