Job summary

A community service organization in Singapore is seeking dedicated individuals to provide befriending services to seniors. The role involves conducting home visits, engaging with clients, and collaborating with volunteers to meet service requirements. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or diploma and preferably one year of relevant experience in eldercare. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications are essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited University or Polytechnic.
• Preferably with at least one year of working experience in an eldercare setting or befriending and buddying services.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and administrative skills.
• Adaptable, responsive to change, and resilient when encountering setbacks.
• Be able to work in the evening and on weekends when necessary/required.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals for befriending and buddying services and conduct home visits.
• Update IRMS on status of referral and ensure proper client handover.
• Deliver high customer service and maintain engagement with seniors and partners.
• Support outreach and provide quality befriending services to socially isolated seniors.
• Provide information and referral services to seniors in need.
• Support Active Ageing activities and outings for seniors.
• Maintain records and documentation on engaged seniors.
• Assist Center Supervisor in compiling data for reporting requirements.
• Work closely with volunteers and ensure service requirements are met.
