Job summary

A youth service organization in Singapore is seeking dedicated individuals to engage with at-risk youths through various programs and activities. The role involves developing interactive workshops and providing mentorship and support. Candidates should have a minimum diploma in social service fields and relevant experience, with a commitment of 6-12 hours weekly on weekday afternoons. This position supports the personal development and social interaction of youths in need.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in social service related fields (i.e. Psychology, Social Work).
  • Prior experience or volunteer work in youth-related roles preferred.
  • Instructor registered with MOE is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and interact with at-risk and/or high needs youths.
  • Conduct games and activities for social interaction and learning.

Job description
Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Meaningfully engage and interact with at‑risk and/or high needs youths
  • Develop programme(s) aligned to indicated objectives, where relevant
  • Conduct games and activities to promote cohesion, social interaction, values‑based and experiential learning
  • Plan and conduct enrichment and skill‑based workshops
  • Provide mentoring, support and guidance, intervention to the youths where necessary
  • Submit relevant reports on a timely basis
  • Undergo monthly training and supervision to improve and develop in their work
Requirements and criteria:
  • Minimum Diploma in social service related fields (i.e. Psychology, Social Work)
  • Prior experience or volunteered in youth work related roles preferred
  • Instructor registered with MOE (if unregistered, you may apply at MOE's website)
  • Able to commit 6 - 12 hours a week (Weekday afternoons, 2pm to 5pm)

Shortlisted applicants will have to undergo an orientation and training sessions before deployment.
