A safety management company in Singapore is looking for a Safety Officer to implement safety systems and conduct inspections. You will be responsible for training staff, managing emergency protocols, and liaising with relevant government authorities. The ideal candidate must be a registered WSHO and have at least one year of experience. This position offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary, including bonuses based on performance.

A Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) is primarily responsible for implementing and managing safety systems to ensure the health and protection of workers, property, and the environment.
Compliance and Advisory: Provide expert advice to management and site teams on WSH regulations, Codes of Practice, and company policies. Ensure all site operations comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site safety walkthroughs, inspections, and hazard spotting. Identify unsafe equipment or environmental hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Risk Management: Develop, implement, and communicate Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for various maintenance tasks.
Safety Training: Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox meetings, and specialized training sessions to foster a proactive safety culture.
Incident Management: Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Emergency Preparedness: Oversee fire safety systems, conduct emergency drills (e.g., fire drills), and manage Company Emergency Response Teams (CERT).
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with government authorities such as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environment Agency (NEA).
Registration: Must be a registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience as WSHO.
