We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end operational backbone of an established and growing wine business. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a commercially minded operator who thrives in managing people, processes, and logistics with precision and accountability.

You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across warehousing, transportation, supply chain planning, and bonded logistics, while working closely with sales, finance, and management to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate stock control, proper handling of wines, and efficient, compliant workflows
• Manage in‑house drivers and transportation logistics, including route planning, delivery schedules, vehicle compliance, and service standards
• Lead supply chain planning and execution, including forecasting, purchasing, inbound shipments, and inventory optimisation
• Serve as the primary liaison with third‑party bonded warehouse operators, freight forwarders, and logistics partners
• Ensure full compliance with customs, bonded warehouse, and excise requirements, including all regulatory documentation and reporting
• Coordinate closely with sales, finance, and management teams to support timely order fulfilment and operational scalability
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, internal controls, and cost‑efficient operational processes
• Monitor, reconcile, and audit stock movements across physical and bonded inventories, resolving discrepancies with accuracy and discipline

Requirements

• Proven experience in operations management preferably within wines or FMCG distribution environments
• Demonstrated experience managing warehouse teams, drivers, and third‑party logistics providers
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong accountability, operational integrity, and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
• Proficient in inventory system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and Excel spreadsheets is advantageous.
• Ability to operate electrical stackers and other warehouse equipment and possess Class 3 driving license.
