Position

The Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) at SPMS, NTU invites applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Professor in Mathematics. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related area.

Responsibilities

The Visiting Professor will collaborate with MAS colleagues on Hamiltonian and Lagrangian techniques for nonlinear multi-physics and multiscale systems, with a particular focus on geometric methods, including symplectic and Poisson geometry. Applications include complex fluids, plasma physics, and mixed classical-quantum dynamics. During the appointment, the candidate will also explore collaborations with colleagues from PAP and other Schools within NTU.

Qualifications

Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in geometric techniques and their application to modeling nonlinear systems. Proven ability to secure external research funding and regularly publish in renowned international journals is required.
