Seaport Global seeks a dynamic professional with expertise in credit sales and trading to join our growing Singapore team at the Vice President level. This exciting opportunity encompasses a range of fixed income products, including investment-grade, corporate, crossover, high-yield and emerging markets bonds as well as distressed debt, convertibles and loans. The role is based in Singapore; candidates willing to relocate will be considered.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable in a sales-trading role. The candidate should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, excelling in a dual-role capacity that encompasses both sales and trading responsibilities, while seamlessly balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic market environment.

Responsibilities
  • Cover English and Mandarin speaking clients for Asia Fixed Income
  • Build new and leverage existing client relationships while developing new opportunities
  • Pitch creative trade ideas supported by insightful analysis
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to assess market dynamics and trading strategies
Qualifications
  • Self-starter with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Minimum of one year’ experience in credit sales and/or trading
  • Strong network of industry contacts and client relationships
  • Local and Chinese client relationships a plus
  • Business fluency in Mandarin and English
  • University degree and high marks in related area of study
  • Some relationships with issuers in ECM/DCM capacity a plus
