Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven VP / Director of Business Development, Sales & Marketing to lead and scale our commercial growth. This role is responsible for defining and executing go-to-market strategies, leading multiple teams, driving revenue growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and strengthening brand presence across target markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives, while building and leading high-performing BD, sales, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Lead, manage, and develop Business Development, Sales, and Marketing teams, including hiring, performance management, and capability building.
  • Develop and execute integrated business development, sales, and marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify new growth opportunities, market entry strategies, and revenue streams.
  • Foster strong collaboration across teams to ensure seamless lead generation, conversion, and account growth.
  • Build a high-performance, results-driven commercial culture.
  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
Business Development
  • Lead strategic partnerships, alliances, and key account relationships.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities and commercial deals.
  • Drive long-term client relationships and ensure sustainable revenue growth.
Sales Management
  • Own overall sales performance, pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue targets.
  • Establish sales strategies, pricing frameworks, and performance metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Oversee major negotiations and closing of high-value deals.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
  • Define and oversee marketing strategy, including brand positioning, demand generation, and lead acquisition.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels (digital, events, partnerships, PR).
  • Analyze marketing performance and ROI, optimizing campaigns to support sales objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Operations, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment between market needs and business capabilities.
  • Provide market feedback to support product development and innovation.
  • Support budgeting, planning, and resource allocation for commercial functions.
Governance & Reporting
  • Track and report key commercial KPIs, sales forecasts, and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in Business Development, Sales, and/or Marketing, with senior leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading multiple commercial teams and delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to execute effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing regional or multi-market portfolios is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
