Job summary

A global professional services firm in Singapore is seeking a Valuations professional to join its Deals Transaction Services team. The role involves performing independent valuations for businesses and financial instruments, producing financial models, and maintaining client relationships. Candidates should have 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, excellent financial modeling skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members. In short, we help some of the world’s leading companies originate, create, execute, and realize value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.

Our team helps organizations unlock greater deal value by providing robust value opinions and transaction model business advisory. As part of the team, you’ll research financial risks, provide forecast analysis, and develop financial models that assists our team in providing fair and accurate valuation advice and ultimately helps our clients enhance their deal value.

How will you value-add?
  • Performing independent valuations for businesses, tangible and intangible assets and financial instruments including equity and debt securities, derivatives and options, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring
  • Producing and analysing financial models and assessing commercial data which underlie financial forecasts
  • Leading in pitching for new work, including the preparation and presentation of proposals
  • Building and maintaining client relationships before, during and after engagements
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on valuation and valuation-related services
  • Working closely with Partners and staff on client management, practice development and business development activities
About you
  • Possesses a Degree in Accounting or Business equivalent from a recognised university, or Professional Accounting qualification(s)
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience preferably with related Business Valuation experience.
  • Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
  • Previous valuation experience in professional services will be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in leading a team.
  • Good client management skills, authoritative and credible in a client conversation - both in terms of personal style and subject matter expertise.
