A healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a nurse to provide care for residents in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with at least 5 years of experience in orthopedics, medical-surgical, or gerontology settings. Responsibilities include managing resident care, administering medications, and supervising staff. Candidates should be team players with the ability to work independently. Work closely with the resident’s doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents; updates on changes in the residents’ condition and needs
Ensure care delivery and nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan
Work with allied health professionals and/or initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
Carry out and supervise assessments of all new admissions
Prepare clinical documentation and ensure all documentations are current
Prepare and administer medications to residents and comply with safe medication practices
Supervise staff to ensure safe medication practice
Participate in training and development of staff
Work with Supervisor to conduct quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care
Deal with emergency that arises and ensure prompt actions to mitigate the situation. Escalate promptly to supervisor, where necessary
Diploma/Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
Minimum 5 years and above working experience in orthopedics, medical surgical or gerontology experience in a inpatient ward setting
Team player and able to work independently as well
