Job Description
  • Review risk submissions within assigned authority limits and support the preparation of business proposals for opportunities with business units, portfolio transfers, and product changes. This includes development of the P&L, pricing analysis and policy terms and conditions.
  • Strengthen the underwriting governance structure and framework for Personal Lines and providing underwriting trainings.
  • Undertake Internal/external audits to ensure all compliance, underwriting best practice, policy/procedures and guidelines are being adhered to.
  • Supports the formulation and implementation of strategies through analysis of competitive position, marketplace dynamics, pricing segmentation, profile trending and exposure level analysis.
  • To be involved in the product development process with the distribution and online channels
  • Facilitate portfolio management of various product lines
  • Work closely with Claims Department to facilitate claims data and management; ensuring claim levels are at manageable levels

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of underwriting experience in Personal Lines
  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline
  • Insurance certification preferred
  • Meticulous, have an eye on detail
  • Able to cope with fast and diverse work environment
  • Service oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
