Job summary

A leading Oil & Energy firm in Singapore seeks experienced Turnaround Planners to manage all planning and scheduling aspects for mechanical works at the Bukom site. This role includes preparing schedules, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards during turnaround activities. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical sector. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your role

Our major Oil & Energy (Downstream) Client is looking for three Turnaround (TA) Planners who will be based in Bukom and be responsible for all planning and scheduling deliverables for all TA scope in the area of mechanical works to ensure safe & efficient execution of TA activities accordance with the approved premises, work processes and standards. The TA Planners will be supporting different disciplines (1) Scaffolding, Insulation, and Painting (2) Static Equipment (3) Piping

This covers preparing, optimizing, updating and maintaining the plan/schedule to efficiently execute scope of work including resource optimization, checking availability of materials, completeness of work packs. It also covers breaking down scope into bite size activities for each area; assigning craft resources and durations; developing BOMs; work packages, initial entry into the scheduling tool and some initial logic ties by the planner.

He/she would then assemble the activities from various areas or blocks, and projects, complete the logic ties, resource level, and ensure the schedule meets the quality checks in the scheduling premise document. The TA Planner coordinates with all Client disciplines, operations /maintenance, engineering, procurement and cost engineering during the planning and execution stage and at all stages of the turnaround work processes to ensure compliance of HSSE, Quality, Duration and Cost Competitiveness targets for the TA Event. During execution he/she drives the schedule & quality of work and reports back progress to TA Event Manager.

You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Have at least 5 years’ experience in Turnaround / Maintenance or Project work or 5 to 10 years in Maintenance /Turnaround /Pitstop/ Construction field experience in refinery or petrochemical plant
• Have relevant experience in respective disipline (1) Scaffolding, Insulation, and Painting (2) Static Equipment (3) Piping
• Have minimum 3 to 5 years’ engineering execution experience in refinery/chemical/petrochemical industry
• Are competent in organizing/preparing work scope and work method statements
• Have experience in preparing and planning turnaround/pitstop towards optimization of resources, scope and duration
• Have strong supervisory skills in managing crafts with good written/verbal communication skills and customer focus
• Have experience and knowledge of HSE regulatory compliance in plant projects
