Main Function of the role

This entry-level role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals (1–2 years of relevant experience) seeking to build strong foundational skills in treasury operations and financial management within a global finance team. The Treasury Associate will support daily cash and liquidity management, banking operations, and financial controls, while gaining exposure to broader finance processes and projects.

The role involves adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and regulatory standards. The role also encourages continuous learning and active participation in process improvement initiatives. Support for professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) may be available for the right candidate demonstrating commitment and aptitude. You will also gain exposure to treasury systems and finance automation tools, contributing to innovation and digital transformation within the team.

Key task and responsibilities
Cash & Liquidity Management
  • Monitor daily cash positions and assist in preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Support liquidity management to ensure compliance with internal limits.
Banking Operations
  • Process and review payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to controls.
  • Maintain and update bank mandates, standing instructions, and account documentation.
Reconciliations & Reporting
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, including posting journals, across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Investigate and resolve unidentified transactions promptly.
Financial Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, client money rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support SOX control documentation, testing, and evidence gathering.
  • Assist with internal and external audits for treasury-related processes.
Projects & Process Improvement
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance treasury processes and automation.
  • Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, accuracy, and control within treasury operations.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on system enhancements and continuous improvement projects.
Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduate or 1–2 years of relevant experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in process improvement and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, analytical mindset
  • Previous experience in journal posting is preferred, and a strong willingness to learn and develop in this area will also be highly valued.

  • Understanding of need for financial control environment and adherence to procedures
