Job description

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the HOD in overseeing daily operations.
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods while optimising fleet utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, fuel consumption, and repair works.
• Handle operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, and last-minute changes effectively.

People Management

• Supervise, lead, and support drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and coaching to improve productivity and service quality.
• Manage staffs attendance, discipline, and adherence to company policies and SOPs.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations (LTA, MOM, WSH requirements).
• Implement and enforce safety standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Investigate incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with customers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, fleet utilization, operating costs, and safety performance.
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Assist HOD in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in trucking, transport operations, or fleet management, ISO, and GDP, GMP & GDPMDS.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Good knowledge of Singapore transport regulations and safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Possession of a Class 3 / 4 / 5 driving licence is an added advantage.
