Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Carry out all operational duties in compliance with established procedures and industry standards.
  • Handle negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts, credit arrangements, charter parties, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters Operations to exchange information on trades and shipments.
  • Supervise trade logistics activities such as cargo loading and discharging, quality control, freight, insurance, and coordination with agents and surveyors.
  • Prepare and process invoices and payments for suppliers and customers.
  • Track, review, and verify all trade-related payments, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Work with banks on financing matters, including issuance of Letters of Credit (L/C), and prepare the required import/export LC documentation for submission.
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of trade, accounting, and financial records.
  • Actively manage demurrage cases and other trade-related claims.
  • Check, validate, and securely store trade documentation while maintaining accurate billing, invoicing, and trade finance records.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with business partners, third-party service providers, and associates.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a comparable role or solid knowledge of international oil trading and trade finance will be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required.
  • Strong command of spoken and written Mandarin is essential for communication with clients in the Chinese market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Must be able to multitask, perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Candidates available immediately or with a short notice period will be preferred.
