Job description
Job Purpose

The Trade Operations Executive is responsible for executing end-to-end trade operations including contract preparation, shipment handling, documentation, inventory coordination, and reporting. The role ensures smooth execution of sales and purchase contracts, compliance with international trade regulations, and timely support to commercial teams and management.



Roles and Responsibilities


  • Draft, review, and execute Sales & Purchase contracts across multiple commodities and regions.
  • Arrange and coordinate cargo bookings with shipping lines and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.
  • Prepare and verify complete sets of shipping documentation (including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and inspection certificates) in line with country and customer requirements.
  • Draft and process Letters of Credit (L/C) with banks, ensuring timely negotiation and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Generate and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports to support operational and management decisions.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation provided to banks, customers, and suppliers in compliance with international trade practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of trade flows.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements for efficient trade operations and reporting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field .
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, shipping, logistics, or commodity trading.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade documentation and Letter of Credit (L/C) procedures .
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, dashboards, and MIS reporting ; experience with ERP or trade management systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders across geographies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
