Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing the pricing, trade, and key accounts for the Intra-Asia reefer (refrigerated container) business based in Singapore. The primary objectives of the role are to set pricing strategies, maximize reefer loading and vessel plug utilization, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills to monitor market trends, manage contracts, and drive the achievement of regional budget and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely responses to clients on all pricing, bid, contract, and rate enquiries.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and process all pricing requests, maintaining rate tariff guidelines and data for Intra-Asia exports.
  • Collate market feedback and data to assist in establishing and adjusting pricing policies based on supply, demand, and market conditions.
  • Ensure all contracts and rate filings are implemented correctly and consistently across in-house systems.
  • Monitor and analyze vessel and country performance to ensure weekly vessel plug allocation is fully utilized.
  • Prepare reports, conduct market research, and perform other tasks as required by management.
  • Generate and analyze export/import statistics and sales performance data by region and country.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to explain reasons for performance variances and identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Profile customers and analyze their fit with the company's pricing strategy.
  • Compile data for reporting and create PowerPoint presentations as needed.
  • Collect and analyze business information from various locations in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Support the Digital Trade team by tracking usage data and executing measures to improve digital business benefits.
  • Assist in coordinating new and current projects with relevant in-house parties.
  • Proactively communicate with external stakeholders (e.g., CMA CGM local sales, clients) regarding rate enquiries, tendering, and local practices.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders through regular meetings, conferences, and customer visits to gather market insights and feedback.
